Smoke alarms must be installed in every bedroom of a home. Smoke alarms must be powered by either 240 volt or 10 year lithium battery. Smoke alarms must be interconnected to each other and be photo-electric rather than ionization. All smoke alarms must be serviced, cleaned and 9 volt batteries changed if required. These new requirements must be in place by 1st January 2022.

  • Under the Silver Annual Smoke Alarm Service, we will clean, test and maintain all smoke alarms in a property to ensure it meets current State and Federal legislation. Any alarm required to be installed or replaced in order to meet compliance, will be charged at an extra cost. We will provide a compliance report following this inspection as proof of our visit.

  • Under the Gold Annual Smoke Alarm Service, we will inspect your property yearly to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Whilst at your property on each visit, we will clean, test and replace any expired or faulty smoke alarms at no charge, if they meet the requirements of compliance. If smoke alarms are found to be missing, damaged, or if additional alarms are required for compliance, these will be replaced or installed at an extra cost.

  Platinum

  • Under the Platinum Annual Smoke Alarm Service, we will inspect your property yearly or at the beginning of a  lease to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Whilst at your property on each visit, we will clean, test and replace any expired or faulty smoke alarms for free, if they already meet the requirements for compliance. If smoke alarms are found to be missing, damaged, or if additional alarms are required for compliance, these will be replaced or installed at an extra cost.

*The First Visit With the Platinum Package
We offer an additional no cost inspection to ensure the following are in working order, or if they require service. Safety Switches Air, Conditioners, Ceiling Fans, Emergency Lighting This is at no extra cost and on request of the owner or property manager.
